Lifelong Knoxville resident, and Certified Financial Planner®, Matt Harper, earned his MSFP (Master of Science in Financial Planning) designations in 2025. He formed Harper Financial Group in early 2026 still featuring Eagle Strategies, LLC and New York Life products. He knows how to assemble a winning team of professionals, resources, and financial instruments to help manage your future.
Teamwork is something very familiar to Matt. He played baseball for Farragut High School, and then in college for Carson Newman University while majoring in Finance. After graduating he realized his lifelong dream of playing Major League Baseball when he was selected by the Anaheim Angels in 1999. Because of his sports background Matt knows the importance of teamwork, planning, and action.
Prior to forming Harper Financial Group, Matt began his career in financial services with The Horace Mann Company then soon joined Eagle Strategies LLC in 2002. Matt works with a diverse client base and counts among his many clients, school teachers, small business owners, and retirees. Protective and hard working, Matt keeps his client's best interests and goals in mind when financial planning. He has offices conveniently located in Franklin Square in West Knoxville and Eastgate in Chattanooga.

Judy joined Matt in 2017 and serves as Director of Operations & Marketing. She holds a BBA in Marketing and is a former music industry executive. Additionally, Judy owned and operated her own music promotion and marketing company in the mid 90's. She has a broad range of business experience, having worked in sales and marketing within the restaurant, financial services, and retail industries. She also holds a TN Insurance license.

Kim supports the Eagle Strategies team as the Service and Office Manager for the Chattanooga location. She holds a BS in Chemical Engineering and was a former process and research engineer for DuPont. She transitioned to the insurance and finance industry in 2010 and began working with Matt in 2025.
